Welcome to the Dayton-Bellevue Christian Church website

The church was established in 1898 and continues today to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Located in the heart of Dayton, we are a group of believers that aspire to be mere Christian.  We hope you will visit and experience the warm welcome Dayton-Bellevue is known for.

Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about our fellowship.

Learn to Worship

Our Worship Leader, Sara Hayes, shared some an activity we can all do to learn how to worship. Her challenge to us this week was to take some time to Learn to Worship by following the steps listed here...

Worship with confidence

  • See Song of Solomon 2:10-14 & Psalm 40
  • Your sin is not a stumbling block for God
  • Your sin makes you disconnect from God, not the other way around.

Developing a language of love
How?

  • Love and meditation of the word.
  • The Hebrew translation of the word meditate says " to ruminate, to roll over in mind, to analyze

Think of a cow and how it eats and digests it's food... This is no short process. He chews, digests, then brings it back to chew again and repeats. This is what we should be doing, "chewing on the Word of God" :)

5 steps to successful meditation

1. Read it
2. Write it
3. Sing it
4. Say it
5. Pray it

Assignment: Do this with Psalm 1:2-3
